Peru is already at the top of all nations in bird diversity. It just climbed one more notch above Columbia and Ecuador. A new Peru endemic species has been discovered and described. It is the Sirs Barbet, native to the rain forest on the eastern slope of the Andes.
Partnership for International Birding offers several Peruvian itineraries. We may not find the new barbet species but we can promise plenty of endemic species.
